Who We Are
Rongbao LiuLi Studio Founded by visionary artist Liu Yuan, Rongbao Glass Studio is a sanctuary dedicated to the essence of Oriental glass aesthetics. At the heart of our craft lies the mastery of Lampworking—an intangible cultural heritage. Through the rhythmic dance of thousand-degree flames and crystalline light, we redefine contemporary glass art.
Our Philosophy
Driven by the philosophy, "Enshrine Art through Honor; Harbor the Soul through Treasure," Liu Yuan spent years perfecting the intricate techniques of winding, pulling, melting, and sculpting. Our work seamlessly weaves the profound heritage of ancient tradition with the philosophical clarity of modern design. Each piece is a poetic dialogue between fire and glass—a sophisticated choice for collectors and those who curate an elegant, inspired lifestyle.
What Is Lampworked LIULI
Lampworking is a glassmaking process defined by fire, timing, and human hands.
As glass softens in flame, every movement matters.
Each rotation, each pause, permanently shapes the final form.
There is no reset, no repetition.
Each piece exists only once, born at the intersection of fire and time.
Lampworked LIULI is not manufactured — it is captured in flame.
Craft Highlights
- Shaped directly in flame
- Fully handcrafted, no molds
- Flexible artistic control during creation
- Every piece is one of a kind
What Is Fumed Gold Technique
Fumed Gold is one of the most demanding techniques in glassmaking, requiring absolute mastery of heat and timing.
At the precise moment when the glass remains molten,
metal elements are introduced into the flame.
Through intuition and experience, the artisan guides the interaction between fire and glass, allowing gold to emerge naturally and fuse into the piece.
This process cannot be standardized or repeated.
Even the smallest variation results in a completely different outcome.
Fumed gold is not decoration — it is the trace of fire itself.
Each piece is handcrafted using traditional lampworking techniques,
where gold does not sit on the surface,
but lives within the glass, subtle, restrained, and timeless.
Craft Highlights
- No gold leaf, no coating, no surface painting
- Gold fused through high-temperature flame fuming
- Durable, integrated patterns within the glass
- Every piece is unique and unrepeatable
